Alannah and Kris

Documenting Alannah and Kris' wedding was an absolute delight. Their easy-going and happy nature set the tone for a day filled with joyous moments, surrounded by their loving family, relatives, and friends. Some of their guests even traveled from interstate and the northern part of the state to witness this beautiful celebration. Among the cherished attendees were their two little ones, Jackson and Kirby, adding an extra layer of sweetness to the occasion.

Our day began with Kris and his friends as they prepared at a secluded Airbnb venue just 10 minutes away from the main event. Kris and his groomsmen were all smiles and incredibly amiable, making our job a breeze. Their cheerful demeanor and willingness to pose created some truly memorable shots.

Next, we made our way to Alannah's location, a modern vacation house just a few minutes away. The bride was surrounded by her family and children, and upon arrival, we found the hair and make-up team putting the finishing touches on their wonderful work. We captured a few staged photos of these final preparations and then moved to the mezzanine for the details and the zipping of the dress. Alannah’s radiant smile shone through every photo, only ever dimming at our specific direction.

The venue, Rayburn Farm, was a short 10-minute drive away. Despite being familiar with the location, we noticed many improvements that made it even more picturesque and easy to navigate. The drive was smooth, a blessing on a weekend in Hobart with no traffic to contend with.

Wendy Francis from Love and Other Things, the celebrant, was her usual accommodating self. She warmly greeted our team upon arrival and provided a quick run-through of the ceremony proceedings, ensuring everything would flow smoothly.

The ceremony itself was beautiful and went off without a hitch. Following the ceremony, we captured photos of all the guests and then moved on to newlywed portraits of the couple with their bridal party. The couple’s friends provided spectacular Land Cruisers, which added a unique and fun element to the photoshoot.

As the night drew to a close, we had one final surprise for Alannah and Kris—a Same Day Edit highlights video. This special touch was the perfect ending to a memorable night, encapsulating the joy and love that permeated their wedding day.
